Gloss Black appliqués on the front and rear bumpers are complemented by Bronze Satin Gloss detailing on the inside of the grille slats, headlamp royal enfield surrounds and badges while its unique 18-inch alloy wheels are rendered in matte black with a high-gloss Satin Bronze trim surround. Completing the distinctive exterior treatment are a Mopar fuel-filler door and a black spare tire cover with a second dragon decal. 
Inside, the Wrangler Dragon Edition reprises the basic exterior theme and color scheme, starting with heated buckets that feature Black Nappa leather seating surfaces set off by Satin Bronze Dragon Scale trim on their outer bolsters as well as on the center console armrest and steering wheel. Sporting a Black and Bronze Satin Gloss exterior and interior tweaks, acura the 2014 Jeep Wrangler Dragon Edition will launch this fall in the U.S. with an MSRP of $36,095 (€27,150). Based on the Jeep Wrangler Sahara , the limited-production model's main design highlight is the Dark Charcoal dragon decal that starts on the hood and runs along the driver’s side of the vehicle. Particularly in Asian cultures, the dragon symbolizes strength and power and is normally acura associated with royalty and good fortune. Available only in black and as a four-door Unlimited model, acura the Wrangler Dragon Edition features a black body-color three-piece hard top and a series of Bronze Satin Gloss details including the front grille slats, headlamp surrounds and the Jeep badging. Are you hesitant to pull the trigger on a brand new Dodge Avenger in hopes that a new one will be coming? Well, don't hold your breath. According to The Detroit News , Chrysler will be extending production of the current Avenger sedan through the end of 2015. Originally, nissan leaf we heard that the company would kill the Avenger to better focus its midsize sedan efforts on the Chrysler 200 replacement. But then new reports stated there would indeed be an Avenger successor , and that we could see it as early as next January. This Detroit News report cites supplier sources confirming the extension of Avenger production, though Chrysler has not released an official statement on the matter. These same suppliers say that the current Jeep Wrangler will live on through mid-2018 – that's nissan leaf right, another five years. The Detroit News reports that a replacement for the iconic, go-anywhere Jeep was due in mid-2016. Lastly, the report mentions that the Dodge Grand Caravan minivan will remain in production through late 2017, though its Chrysler Town & Country counterpart will be replaced by an all-new vehicle for the 2016 model year. This only further backs reports that the Grand Caravan will be killed from the Chrysler Group portfolio , with the T&C remaining the only minivan in production at the company's Windsor facility.
Many of us turn our noses up at the thought of owning (or even renting) an Avenger, for various reasons. Although the car will never have the levels of respect nissan leaf which accompany Camry, Accord, Optima...there are still plenty of buyers who don't get hung up on "street cred" or "who won the latest comparison". Let's face it ... almost all the CARS Chrysler makes are losers, even the Jeep line. (RAM trucks are still good) The future is electric, nissan leaf even more than hybrid. If they gave up on the crap and pushed to be FIRST in the electric car field, they wouldn't be able to make them fast enough. It doesn't matter who's running the company ... if the philosophy is to compete with Lexus or Acura, even Honda or Toyota or Nissan, they will lose EVERY time. No redesign nissan leaf for the Avenger and Caravan, reminds me of the AMC Hornet/Corncord which the bean counters passed over in favor of introducing new Pacer (could nissan leaf the weird looking Cherokee repeat of the Pacer’s performance?). Last year s Beijing auto show featured an almost-head-spinning cornucopia of dragon-themed concept and production cars, and Jeep was right there in the thick of the action with a special Wrangler concept . At the time, we assumed that the Jeep like pretty much every other dragon-tastic ride in Beijing was created solely to play up the Chinese year of the dragon, and that none would ever see the light of day outside of China. We were wrong, so very, very wrong. Jeep s dragon tale was only just beginning, and now the brand has announced crutchfield it is bringing a production version of the Beijing Wrangler crutchfield concept to customers this fall as a 2014 model.
Jeep claims that after seeing the Beijing show car, customers stateside were clamoring for it. From our perspective, we re not sure what all the fuss is about. Besides pushing the bounds of what we d consider crutchfield to be good taste, the Wrangler Dragon edition also seems somewhat random after all, while Jeep is no stranger to special-edition models, it distinctly lacks a history of mythical-beast-themed efforts. Anyway, the production Dragon edition arrives on our shores wearing pretty much the same bronze-colored exterior trim pieces grille slats, wheels, and headlight surrounds crutchfield and dragon dress-up gear that adorned crutchfield the concept.
At its core, the Dragon edition is an uplevel Sahara-spec Wrangler , meaning it s fairly well equipped. Every single one will be black with a matching black hardtop, and buyers will be able to get it only in four-door Unlimited guise. A bevy of dragon likenesses inside and out guarantee attention from brave medieval warriors bent on saving crutchfield princesses so we d suggest leaving pretty girls at the curb should you find yourself near tall castle towers or in the 14th century. Powering the Polar Wrangler is a 2.8-liter turbo-diesel that produces 200 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque, backed up to a five-speed automatic. Based on the Wrangler Sahara and set to make its debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show , the Wrangler Polar sports new Hyrdro Blue paint, gloss black 18-inch wheels, a body-color hardtop, and the regular mix of Mopar styling accessories. Billet Silver Metallic and Bright White are available for those that don't dig the glossy blue, while a two-door truck variant will be available in addition to the four-door pictured above. The Polar's interior features similar tweaks; Pearl White contrast stitching can be found on both the seats and steering wheel, while ceramic White bezels and other accents give a nice contrasting look to the cabin. Underhood sits an engine that should truck make American Wrangler enthusiasts weep - a 2.8-liter, four-cylinder turbodiesel. With 200 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque truck channeled through a five-speed automatic transmission, the Wrangler Polar should handle itself just fine on normal roads. British buyers will also be able to select the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 .
