Instruction channel 131 begins soon again after a glorious Christmas holiday. Always a certain excitement to begin again in the spring semester and is often more efficient than the fall semester which would sometimes poorly for some reason. I'm going to continue with the color a thought but does have new ideas carry with us I look forward to test my students. channel 131 This will be quite sharp semester because I started unusually early and plan to merge the two times when we begin a new material in the second section. I'm going to the "exploration" in April and intend to be done with the course. I bought a really very beautiful blue colors in Sweden I have been working with, cobalt blue color from the color Rembrandt Dutch company and cobalt from Winsor & Newton. I saw it in a pen in the other day that the colors have gone up considerably (and paintings correspondingly reduced!) And not fall into my mind going to save my colors. I just can not !! Students who are beginning to paint in oils, buy a color and often end up in buying the cat in the bags when they come with cheap colors that are available in the appropriate boxes. It is better to buy a few basic colors (primary colors) of good color company, for example. Winsor & Newton and use them to get all the colors rather than buying all the colors in one go to a cheaper brand. Yellow (eg. Lemon yellow), red (Alizarin Crimson or Scarlet red), blue (Ultra Marin is necessary and Prussian Blue, too) and white (Titian) have innumerable options for mixing that can play with. Odorless turpentine, cloths and two cheap paintbrushes. Voila. It requires no more. Just roll up your sleeves and get started!
